Rangitane Road to Crow Hut Loop Track

Located in Ruahine Forest Park
A very steep up and down tramp in Ruahine Forest Park, climbing first to the Mokai Patea Range, then dropping to the Kawhatau River and then back up to the Hikurangi Range and out to Rangitane Road via the Kawhatau River.

Sutherland Mangahoe Walk

Located in the Turakina Valley, on Mangahoe Rd, 20kms west of Hunterville.
Tracks: There is one track on the reserve that takes around 50 minutes to complete.
 
 
 

 
 

Pryce's Rahui Reserve

Located 8km east of Rata, on Putorino Road off SH1, near Marton.
Tracks: There are three walking tracks within the reserve, varying in length from 20 minutes to 1 hour. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Sutherland Puriri Reserve

Located in the Turakina Valley, at the junction of Mangahoe and Turakina Valley Roads, 20kms west of Hunterville.
Access to the main part of the reserve is over a stile at the southern-most point of the reserve off Turakina Valley Rd.
Tracks: There are three tracks in the 60 hectare reserve, from 20 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes.
